For this project, Chipperfield was particularly keen to find versatile, solid seats that would meet rigorous performance requirements while still conveying a sense of refined luxury. It is planned to finish the museum seats in leather. This line of research was combined with another topic that Chipperfield wanted to explore; consisting in obtaining comfortable, soft seats from thin upholstered sections superimposed on a light and dynamic structure, using advanced industrial production techniques.
