While the first tubular steel chairs of the 1920s were rarely upholstered, Thonet's 1935 catalog featured a series of extensively upholstered armchairs and sofas. Thonet's original design S 411 from 1932 probably marks the beginning of a new series of products. Today it is produced with high-quality upholstery. A matching footstool is available.
