The iconic Knotted Chair is a brilliant interpretation of the small chairs used to decorate an adult dollhouse, a visionary work of designer Marcel Wanders. This project has been officially dedicated by being placed in the permanent collections of MoMA in New York, the V&A Museum in London and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
By eliminating the distinction between craft and industrial production, Wanders turned this chair into a work of art that can be cherished at home and integrated into our everyday lives.
The macrame technique that inspired the design of the tie chair has been reincorporated in a surprising structure made of carbon covered with aramid fiber cord and then coated with epoxy resin. Thus, an innovative object with an intrinsically romantic charm was born: a collector's item, completely unique in the history of international design.
