On the occasion of its 80th anniversary, Knoll pays tribute to the originality of the design by creating a special edition of the Butterfly chair. The year 1938 was very fertile for the history of design: among many events, the Knoll company was founded and a unique chair was designed, which Hans Knoll decided to include in the company's catalog in 1947-1951, meeting with extraordinary success.
FEATURES
Thanks to the technological efficiency and excellent craftsmanship of the Knoll company - irreplaceable allies in creating the highest quality products - today's Butterfly has sinuous, dynamic lines, which are also possible thanks to the quality of the materials used: the structure is made of chrome-plated steel or coated, in white or black, and the seat is made of thermoformed felt. This element in particular is a real innovation of the project, because thanks to its construction it becomes a self-supporting structure, fulfilling the double role of a seat and a cover. Moreover, laser shaping of the fabric, without additional seams, allows direct connection of the seat with the steel structure, ensuring comfort and elegance.
