Spacious and comfortable, Armchair 400 was created by Alvar Aalto in 1936 for exhibition at the Milan Triennale, where it quickly received an award. The chair owes its nickname "Tank" to its characteristic, wide and strong armrests made of bent birch slats and solid upholstery. The flexible, cantilever frame provides a flexible and comfortable seat. A favorite since the 1930s, the 400 armchair remains extremely modern and can be upholstered in any material.
