Let's leave decorative details in favor of simple, clear and rational shapes. Paying tribute to the design language of the 1940s, Umberto Asnago designed the FUSION sofa. The lightweight frame becomes the defining sign of the design. The formal rigor is softened by two loose pillows that provide comfort to the armrests. I 4 Mariani's experience in leatherworking is expressed in the production of the sides of the sofa: two sheets of saddle leather, stretched over a light frame and connected to each other by a leather saddle cord that moves them from side to side in a kind of embroidery fashion.
