Kabuki is a sofa that brings minimalism, the cornerstone of Far Eastern aesthetics, to the stage, but reinterprets it with the "new modernity" and sustainability in mind. The theater to which it pays homage is based on highly stylized acting and stages a synthesis of music, dance and drama that are integrated with great balance.
Beauty is simplicity, and bringing out the essential depends on the details of the sofa design, with hand-sewn details that decorate the backrest and armrests, allows us to rediscover the ancient technique, Sashiko. A stitch made in repeating or interwoven patterns, used to repair kimonos in the days when a wardrobe consisted of only two or three, and lasted a lifetime.
And so the repair gives us a new idea of beauty, more human and sustainable, where what is destroyed gives us the opportunity to create something new and more beautiful.
