Product description

Katana sofa Paolo Rizzatto, being a refined and experienced designer, attaches great importance to the proportions of the product's structural elements. In the elliptical leg, every millimeter has been designed and calibrated, as well as the relationship between the seat and the structure.
The fittings and lines, the grafts and the joints, everything has been designed with the best harmony in mind. The dialogue between the parties, as in architecture, is a perfect orchestration for the Milanese architect.
The sofa refers to the iconic and seductive shapes of the classic Chesterfield, reinterpreted with renewed elegance, and thanks to the delicate curve of the leg, it dissolves the connection with the seat and backrest. This makes it enveloping and comfortable, and its height and width promote a relaxed atmosphere.
Rizzatto's skill and experience in designing elegant, ironic and precious objects is perfectly summed up by the Katana sofa, which happily works with other GHIDINI1961 collections, creating endless relationships.
Balance and rigor are two adjectives that best describe the sofa combined with a large armchair.
Structure
Strap and multi-layer seat, covered with polyurethane foam of various densities, trimmed with quilted goose down on cotton fabric lining. The backrest structure is made of plywood covered with polyurethane rubber of various densities, the whole thing is covered with quilted goose down with a cotton lining.
Covers
Sofa covers are not removable.
Base
Sofa and armchair based they are on Katana's leg. The leg of the Katana is made of Italian brass, die-cast by Ghidini 1961. Hand-polished and lacquered with a clear finish to guarantee long-term durability.
