SHIKI - Monoblock and modular sofas.
Inspired by the spare simplicity of the traditional Japanese futon, this sofa evokes the appearance of a thick padded mattress resting on an upholstered wooden base. A refined quilted motif defines the oversized seat cushion, embellished with tailoring details of handmade snaps in nuanced upholstery shades. The design is characterized by a dynamic alternation of different thicknesses and heights, mimicking the city skyline, an architectural composition made of harmoniously contrasting materials, finishes and volumes.
Wooden base covered with the same fabric or leather as the sofa. Wooden frame. Suspension on elastic straps. Backrest and seat upholstered with graded polyurethane/hot-bonded polyester fiber. Backrest cushion made of 100% new goose feathers. Roll-shaped pillow made of hot-bonded polyurethane/polyester fiber. Fixed inner nylon cover. Removable fabric or leather outer cover with quilted seat cushion. On request, exclusively for monoblock sofas, a version with all higher backrests is available.
