Absolute comfort thanks to its large volume and delicate design with simple geometries characterize this sofa designed to rediscover a cozy space thanks to its open shapes. Inspired by the Orient - a recurring motif in Cassina collections and expressed especially in the work of Charlotte Perriand - the Sengu Sofa is characterized by various, unconventional arrangements, united by common features such as natural materials and colors, enhanced by a series of new modules, corners and end elements and an ottoman available with a low with or without a table. Its structure, composed of a belted steel frame, elegantly finished with two wooden beams, evokes Japanese memories; The ergonomics of the sofa are enhanced by the soft bends of the backrests and armrests, characterized by external quilting. The same detail was also repeated on the backrest pillows that complement the sofa. Thanks to research carried out by Cassina LAB, thanks to the cooperation of the Cassina Research and Development Center and Poli.design at the Politecnico di Milano, the cushion lining uses recycled fiber made of PET recovered from Plastic Bank®. Cassina designs complete, comfortable and inviting living spaces where the most innovative products of contemporary design coexist with icons of the great masters of the modern movement.
