Forty years after the premiere of the Max sofa, Antonio Citterio returns to one of his most beloved and characteristic Flexform designs. Leaving some of its characteristic features untouched, it returns to it with a more contemporary eye and expands its possibilities of use.
The new model is called Supermax and, compared to the Max sofa from 1983, it has more generous proportions.
Clearly inspired by rationalism, the elegant tubular metal structure has been slightly lowered to provide a more relaxed posture, and the size of the signature bean-shaped seat cushion has been completely redesigned and enhanced with additional padding for greater comfort.
Unique cushioned cushioning the cylindrical backrest is even more eye-catching in the version with two-tone upholstery.
If the Max sofa is ideally intended for use in waiting rooms, executive offices and living rooms, the Supermax, thanks to its deep low seat, aspires to play a more central and multifunctional role in the living room, both in residential and hotel rooms.
Features:
Construction of tubular metal pipes with oxidized, glossy anthracite or matte varnish in the following colors: sand 610, sage 630, brick red 620, white 160, black 900, terracotta 625 and forest green 635. Footrests on thermoplastic tips.
Metal backrest with single-density polyurethane foam covered with single-density polyurethane foam and laminated protective fabric.
Metal seat with polyurethane foam insert with variable density and sterilized goose down padding (Assopiuma certified, gold label).
Optional sterilized goose down pillows (Assopiuma certified, gold label). On request for an additional fee.
The upholstery is removable in both fabric and leather versions.
The matching upholstery piping details include grosgrain piping, which can be made in all the colors shown on the sampler.
