Imagine that we are on a massive, mysterious slab of stone. As if in times long before us, someone with superhuman strength had lifted it and positioned it, creating a megalithic seat. Let's imagine that all this happens in an unexpected place - at the entrance to a bank, in a hotel lobby or in the corridors of a library. Finally, let's imagine that we are getting closer to its surface and only then we realize their softness.
Pebble Rubble by the Swedish design duo Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren from Front Design for Moroso is a sensory experience. An illusion that lures and captivates us, changing our perception of time. Apart from our crazy everyday life, the slow and unlimited rhythm of nature.
The Pebble Rubble project carries a message that goes beyond the functions and features of ordinary sitting. The most obvious characteristic feature is the resemblance of the upholstered volumes to massive rocks, polished by tireless rain and wind and covered with an organic or plant layer capable of softening their roughness and making the surfaces comfortable and friendly.
A scenic installation that is not limited to a mere simulation , but is based on long research in which the designers examined the therapeutic benefits that nature has on people's physical and mental health, as well as the cultural and psychological importance of natural environments, particularly those found in the designers' native Sweden.
Although it is intended Mainly for use in the corporate and hotel sectors, Pebble Rubble consists of 15 modules (seats and backrests) complemented by 3 (foot) stools that allow for a free, flexible and creative composition process. The arrangement possibilities are endless, from a single armchair to creating a sophisticated panorama, and the whole will make any interior design magical and unique.
