Product description

The Repose Counter Stool is a tanned leather and steel stool with footrest. The craftsmanship of metalworking combines with cutting-edge technology to create precision furniture. Carbon steel plates and bars produced in Jover+Valls factories. After the various pieces are cast into the desired shapes, they undergo a manual process that gives them their final metallic finish. Steel frames go through four stages: hand polishing, nickel plating, galvanizing and painting, which gives them a unique character. Vegetable-tanned and tumbled Spanish cattle hides and skins: This traditional method of tanning hides and skins is a technique based on natural tannins obtained from bark or plant fabrics. The tumbling process and the use of natural oils and fats give the leather exceptional elasticity and texture that ages well. All hides are carefully selected to a minimum thickness of 3.2mm/13in, using the animal's hindquarters to produce larger, more uniform pieces. Available leather colors are black, navy blue, dark brown, cognac and natural tobacco. Polished and plated steel finishes are available in matte brass, smoke black and antique silver. Customers can choose between various metal finishes and the best leather properties and colors, thus creating a product tailored to individual needs. Returning to the director's chair, where the simplicity of the metal frame is balanced by rich leather finishes. Serene pieces where exclusivity and precision are visible in small details such as the hand-turned metal nuts and bolts that fasten the leather surfaces or the hand-painted leather edges that go unnoticed at first glance.
