Product description
220 H is a stool with a wooden shell and a metal base.
The established shape of the iconic 214 and 209 bentwood chairs became the inspiration for the design of Sam Hecht and Kim Colin of Industrial Facility: S 220 is a material-efficient chair made of molded plywood, which are stackable, with an ergonomic seat and a lightweight tubular steel frame. Equipped with optional armrests, the chair can be used in a variety of settings - from private homes to the contract sector - and is available in a variety of wood types and colors. The chair's design pushes the boundaries of what is technically possible using the material of molded plywood, which has always been the driving force of innovation at Thonet. The S 220 has a discreet, organic form and precise lines, while its molded plywood shell is comfortable and supportive. The chair's elegant hourglass shape means the seat shell provides adequate cushioning. The smoothly rounded front edge perfectly embodies the harmonious combination of material quality, aesthetics and functionality so characteristic of the S 220. This "waterfall edge", as the designers call it, avoids pressure points, makes the chair more comfortable and raises the radius of the tubular frame steel. The range has been expanded to include S 220 H bar stools.
