New York is a rectangular table. The massive Suar wooden countertop is made of only one piece of wood. It seems to float on a massive steel base and, despite its stable weight, impresses with its visual lightness.
The two steel elements of the table base were made without any gaps from one piece of steel. A connector - also made from a single piece of suar wood - connects the two steel pieces on the bottom of the base. The base is embedded in the table top. Thanks to this sophisticated design, the entire table appears to the viewer without any cracks, visible welds or screws. The winged legs of the base have been designed in such a way that they do not interfere when sitting at the table.
The table top, only 6 cm thick, is carefully dried in a special process and reinforced from the bottom with newly developed steel beams. These techniques make it possible to create a continuous table surface from just one piece of wood, thanks to which the table top resembles a painting created by nature, and the entire table takes on a sculptural character.
The table top is made of durable wood, tropical suar wood. The surface of the countertop is sanded until it is as smooth as velvet. 100% natural oil (tung oil) without any chemical additives protects the wood from the inside and prevents stains.
New York is available in various sizes (length, width and thickness) and with various base materials and colors. New York can be used as a dining table, work desk, conference table or can simply be displayed in the hall decorated with a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
