Product description

Castore is a glass and marble table by the Italian architect, sculptor and designer Angelo Mangiarotti. Designed in 1975 for Sorgente dei Mobili, the distinctive design is now presented by Karakter, available as a dining table with a diameter of 130 cm.
The round glass top rests on a heavy marble pillar and visually Mangiarotti would have the impression that only a small marble bowl on top of the glass plate keeps it in place. The rounded corners of both the pillar and the bowl add softness to the raw aesthetic of the marble.
The marble bowl can be removed and used as a stand-alone piece. However, while maintaining an integral part of the design, you can enjoy additional rounded corners as the bowl is reflected in the glass top.
