Great design is more than just the end result. Often its true value lies in where it comes from. Let's take the project that resulted from the collaboration between Vera Wood and the architect Michele De Lucchi. A partnership that the company's artistic director, Matteo Ragni, was very keen to establish.
The brand's history draws its strength from wood. It's a story powered by ideas, people, design skills, manufacturing capabilities and the talent to transform wood into chairs and furniture that are one of a kind, yet can multiply to fit the diverse world of contract furniture.
Here comes Filla in natural or stained ash wood, in any color and finish that best suits the environment in which it will be placed. The edges of the seat and backrest are covered with "offset" ash. Gently rounded edges resemble annual tree rings. Age gives wood graceful, irregular curves, and this effect is reproduced in the Filla chair by seamlessly combining advanced manufacturing systems with the care of the craftsman.
