Product description
The Aslak chair made of beech wood is as elegant as it is versatile. It is stackable, lightweight and extremely inviting, fitting equally well in restaurants, meeting rooms or homes. The short, rounded armrests allow it to be easily pulled up to desks and dining room tables, while the curved seat and backrest allow for hours of comfortable sitting. Sketched already in 1946 by Ilmari Tapiovaara, it was not produced until 1958, when technical progress made mass production possible. A pioneer of modern Finnish design, Tapiovaara, tried to combine plasticity with the economical use of materials - this idea is perfectly realized by the Aslak chair.
The Aslak chair is available in several color versions.
Frame: pressed beech veneer
Legs and frame - Solid beech, beech veneer:
black varnish, white varnish, red varnish, gray varnish, petrol varnish
