Nigel Coates presents the BISTROTSTUHL dining armchair, another exclusive contemporary interpretation of the traditional Thonet collection, which mimics the sinuous shapes of the LEHNSTUHL armchair and BODY STUHL chair. This is an extremely comfortable and ergonomic chair with a carved anthropomorphic backrest resembling the triangular shape of human shoulder blades. The backrest details are inspired by CAFÉSTUHL, the second element added by Coates in 2016, but in BISTROTSTUHL this detail is irritating: the organic lines of the chair, in harmony with its refined proportions, literally surround everyone who sits on it, without a solution to ensure continuity, from backrests to armrests. Designed for homes with a distinct, designer look, but also suitable for contract spaces, this elegant piece of furniture features a serpentine pattern under the chair seat, an element that appears on all pieces designed by Coates for GTV.
