Product description

JAZZ is an unusual approach to the typology of dining chairs. The concentric construction principle sets the stage for the interplay between formality and casualness. Each chair leg takes its own position depending on its position and function - straightened to support the backrest or broken at an angle like the front leg. And while the plywood backrest has a soft curve, the solid wood crossbeams in the center seem almost too strongly proportioned. The spacious seat encourages multiple seating positions and provides plenty of elbow room.
However, the most intriguing feature is the formal difference between the two available models. The standard model has a common leg arrangement, while the model with armrests uses an identical frame, although rotated by 45 degrees. This directs one of the legs forward, giving the JAZZ armchair its iconic silhouette.
JAZZ is handcrafted in collaboration with a furniture manufacturer from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Molded plywood elements are purchased from a supplier in Lower Saxony. Our production partner works according to the statutory minimum wage and social security applicable in Germany. Local production, short delivery distance of no more than 150 km, use of non-industrial production methods and environmentally friendly surface treatment result in excellent environmental sustainability.
