Created for La Cividina by Sicilian designer Antonino Sciortino, these two furniture accessories evoke the heritage and passion of the designer's father. Turi Turi and Ploff offer a minimalist reinterpretation of luxurious Sicilian baroque style. The main element of the design is a round piece of 6 mm thick steel that has been skillfully machined by hand. The round steel shape contributes to the play of curved lines that follow each other in a rhythmic, sensual dance. Mimicking the shape of a drop of water just before it hits a surface, Ploff is a versatile item that can be used as a table or chair. Characterized by a harmonious roundness created by a hand-shaped round steel element, this furniture accessory embodies the idea of balance, "perfection in imperfection", that only one-of-a-kind, handmade products can offer. It is available in a matte black finish.
