Product description
Light but solid in terms of materials and construction, the Nessel chair, designed by the renowned Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen, was created to work in many spaces: offices, conference rooms, living rooms, dining rooms, as well as in all types of residential interiors. Designed with the caregiver in mind, it provides maximum comfort in a restrained and elegant form. The solid wood chair frame can be finished in a variety of low gloss or matte wood finishes. The Nessel chair, available with or without armrests, is fully upholstered in fabric, leather or two contrasting fabrics.
Classical modernism was an important influence on Van Duysen's design, as was the work of the French architect Jean-Michel Frank, who practiced in the 1930s and is famous for its clean but sumptuous furniture. Encouraged by these sources of inspiration, Van Duysen gave Nessel a simple yet refined profile, achieved through the use of high-quality and refined materials. The chair is constructed with mortise and tenon joinery and grooved corner blocks for strength and durability. The luxurious upholstery fabric is exactly flush with the frame and the seams are perfectly matched.
