ATAL LOUNGE is an armchair with armrests. Epoxy steel frame. Wooden shell with oak veneer, upholstered with fabric or eco-leather. Polypropylene glides Founded in 2005, the Stockholm-based design studio Form Us With Love creates furniture, lighting and other items used in everyday life. The studio works on projects with significant patterns that are accessible to a wide range of people. The breadth and depth of their approach and the sheer charm of their creations were the deciding factors in choosing Alki.
The challenge set by the Alki cooperative was to design a chair that combined solid wood, their favorite material, with metal tubing. The goal was to create a wide offer including lounge chairs, stools and various models of stackable chairs.
Form us With Love has created a family of objects based on a single wooden shell that, when tilted and positioned in various ways, fulfills all these functions… So the Atal series consists of a simple, high stool, a friendly armchair, a simple chair and an inviting, a comfortable lounge chair.
Nowadays, common spaces must be flexible. Meeting or staying apart, working or relaxing: the range of possibilities and seating options expected from these places is becoming wider and wider. The Atal collection meets these changing requirements.
With the new collection, Alki continues to develop its offer for common spaces, especially those with intensive use. The individual elements of the Atal Collection work together seamlessly, creating an elegant and coherent set. The elongated metal tubes are designed for intensive use and in this collection they are combined with solid oak and upholstery.
