Simple geometric forms combined with the abundance of materials characterize the style of Nicola Gallizi, a Milanese designer with whom Porro began collaborating on the 2019 collection.
The small Lullaby lounge chair, thanks to its unusual configuration and inclination, brings to mind comfort and the act of cuddling. Its immediate and pleasant-sounding name is almost onomatopoeic: the letter "L" refers to the shape of the wooden legs, while the "U" identifies the couch in the floor plan and also resembles the rocking motion. A small object of desire with an unusual shape that attracts attention despite its small dimensions. Lullaby hides refined details behind its apparent simplicity, such as a small foot in champagne-colored metal, a solid ash construction and a cover in soft light blue material.
It is a special tribute by Porro and the designer to the Bauhaus and its dictate of reconciling functionalism and formal purism in a perfect combination of artistic craftsmanship and industrial production.
