With their Sedan chair, Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu show how different experiences can be created by simply changing the material or color of individual design elements. The seat and frame of the chair were designed as visually separate, contrasting forms: the seat appears to be suspended in a wooden or metal frame like a sedan, which is where the name of the project comes from. Although the armchair provides the highest comfort, it is not a heavy, immovable object, but rather a light, flexible piece of furniture. Thanks to fabric or leather upholstery combined with a frame made of wood or powder-coated steel, the Sedan will fit harmoniously into any interior or create the desired contrasting accent. In this way, designers have developed the perfect chair for private use and public places such as living rooms, waiting rooms, receptions - something they have long been looking for in the interiors of their projects - providing distinctive, comfortable, yet mobile and elegant seating.
Chair leisure. Solid oak or walnut frame, natural or black stained, with transparent lacquer. Seat shell made of rigid polyurethane foam with polyurethane upholstery. Cover in fabric or leather. Replaceable felt or plastic glides.
