Product description
RUFF, designed by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso, experiments with binary geometry to combine the seat and backrest parts to great effect.
The dialogue between shapes is solemn and sculptural in RUFF, a lounge chair designed for the contract and hospitality sectors, as well as any living space, as it provides the perfect forum for conversation.
Wide armrests lie to the sides of the seat and wrap tightly around it , even if they only have one connector. The result is a harmonious combination of curved and straight lines - a simple geometry that creates an architectural interaction with the surrounding space. The Ruff armchair has a functional shape, and at the same time its personality does not give up on being an object inhabiting the space in which it is located.
RUFF is a clear tribute to the Spanish designer both to her origins and to the art of Eduardo Chillida (1924-2002), world famous sculptor living in San Sebastian. Chillida's designs, characterized by a "high architectural calling", are in constant dialogue with the surrounding space.
Armchairs made of injected, flame-retardant polyurethane foam on an internal steel frame with elastic band.
Polyurethane available in BS 5852 version, cot 5 or no extra charge complies with Cal TB117, free from flame retardants.
Transparent PVC legs screwed to the frame.
Swivel base is made of powder-coated steel in black RAL 9005.
Available with fabric or leather upholstery. The covers from the Ruff collection are not removable.
