Product description

The Kontrapunkt armchair and chaise longue transformer project explores the possibility of creating an alternative to the standard typology of bulky reclining armchairs. The goal was to integrate an armchair and a chaise longue into one compact, visually light object. The name Kontrapunkt (counterpoint) itself means "two opposite points" and comes from music, where it means a way of combining two parallel melodic lines into one harmonious whole. This was achieved by using armrests as part of an innovative mechanism that holds the footrest extension and tilts the backrest to the correct position. The design is minimalist and reveals the structural parts of the product without compromising its aesthetics. Comfort is achieved through the ergonomic shape and flexibility of the material, in particular through various versions of the product upholstered with fabric or leather. Changing the skins changes its character, making it suitable for various interior use situations. Maximum comfort can be further alleviated by layers of feathers and adjusting the height of the head pillow.
