Badminton is an armchair designed by ITEMdesignworks. This armchair, designed as an iconic element of the office, is intended to be a distinguishing factor in work spaces. Thanks to its dynamic and open concept, it allows you to talk, read and use electronic devices without falling into a state of relaxation that makes concentration difficult. To maintain an active approach, its arms have been removed and positioned at a 180-degree angle, providing the user with privacy due to the high degree of sound insulation. Badminton invites you to sit down, change your place and position, and leave your independent desks. “It is a kind of throne that impresses with its size and shape. The goal is well-being and comfort, but always with an active approach,” explains Javier Cuñado, director of ITEM designworks. A facility that responds to the changing needs of workspace, is more friendly, lit, ventilated and conducive to communication and collaborative work. Thanks to two types of different bases (the Saltire version and the other Peana version with a diameter of 70 cm) that allow 360-degree rotation and two models with different heights (chair and seat), Badminton was a new challenge for Actiu. New injection techniques and materials were used in production that have never been used in our factories before.
