Kata is a lounge chair with a solid oak frame in a natural or black stained finish or a solid black locust frame with a teak stained finish.
Available with:
- steel frame shell with micro-padded fabric 3D Knit with a graphic pattern made of recycled polyester fiber yarn and available in 3 colors. Suitable for indoor use;
- shell with steel frame and 3D knitted stripe pattern, made of recycled polyester fiber yarn, available in 3 colors. Suitable for indoor use. Light in form and environmentally friendly, Kata has been designed with closed-loop sustainability in mind. Kata, Arper's first solid wood lounge chair, draws inspiration from artisan-crafted wood and woven straw chairs and reimagines an almost universal typology with contemporary, sustainable solutions in an expression that is both graphic and warm. Kata finds form in juxtaposition - a suggestive gesture in movement between material presence and minimal silhouette, softness and strength, tradition and technology.
The Kata chair is a combination of traditional craftsmanship and soft technology. The FSC-certified oak and robinia wooden frame supports the customized 3D knitted fabric. The knitted cover is made of recycled polyester, made from post-consumer plastic that has been processed into durable and lightweight fibers. The knitted fabric technology is adapted to the frame, which avoids material losses occurring in traditional production. The unified seat and backrest structure is available in 3D knitted fabric with a graphic pattern with internal micro-lining in natural shades of linen, wheat or charcoal, or in lightweight 3D knitted fabric with a parallel stripe pattern in various colors: aqua, wheat, or charcoal - suitable for also suitable for outdoor use. Additional loose finishes on the seat and backrest cushions can be customized both in the full Arper fabric catalog and in the graphic form of 3D knitwear.
