Product description

The Bird chair is an astonishing study of space, form and function by one of the master sculptors of the last century. Like Saarinen and Mies, Bertoia found a sublime grace in an industrial material, elevating it beyond its normal utility and turning it into a work of art. Harry Bertoia's wire chairs are among the most recognizable achievements of mid-century modern design and are a proud part of the Knoll heritage.
FEATURES
Belonging to Harry Bertoia's exceptionally artistic 1952 furniture collection, carved from bentwood metal bars, the Bertoia high-back chair beautifies virtually any environment.
The Bertoia high-back chair and ottoman are only available in a fully upholstered version.
The Knoll logo is embossed on the base of the chair and ottoman.
CONSTRUCTION
The frame is welded steel with bars in polished chrome, white or black.
Full covers are stretched over and attached with using hooks.
FINISHES
Polished chrome, white, black.
High-backed chairs and ottomans are fully upholstered with a wide range of fabrics. These products are available with foam that meets the requirements of BS5852.
