Take a classic-looking embroidery stitch and decontextualize it. Combine craftsmanship and industrial processing and expand your imagination to create a stylish, refined object that fits into the symbolic feminine universe. Expand it. The two rings become armrests, echoing the simple style of the bamboo bag; the shell, which feels like a baseball glove, is an open undershirt that you can slip into to create a comfortable, welcoming nest. The embroidery on the side - done in a gathered stitch - gives the drape a contemporary feel and adds a lightness to the form, giving the chair the grace and sophistication of a classic fashion accessory.
The Smock armchair has sprayed fire-resistant polyurethane foam on the inside of the steel frame. The arms are made of steel tubes covered with leather in the same color of the chair or made to order.
The swivel base and column are finished with a steel powder coating.
Smock collection covers are not removable.
