Modular and flexible, essential and customizable: the Tube chair - an iconic presence in the permanent collections of the Milan Triennale and MoMA and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York - has undergone a contemporary renovation with new, avant-garde technical achievements that ensure all the features of the original design Joe Colombo will remain unchanged. A cross between a chaise longue and a sofa, an object of design and an authentic reflection of a lifestyle, the Tube chair defies the passage of time with its emblematic, changing appearance.
The armchair, created in 1969, is based on a completely destructural construction: in fact, it consists of four hollow cylinders made by rotational molding to obtain interchangeable elements that can be assembled in any way and connected together in a compact way. From the backrest to the seat, each element can be adjusted to multiple positions, creating a design element that reflects individual needs and tastes.
The tubes that make up the chair are attached using metal clamps. The upholstery is available in leather or bi-elastic fabric. The chromatic palette includes Cappellini's characteristic colors: white, black, yellow, turquoise and orange.
