As we travel longer, we continually find ourselves in transit areas – vast seas of inhospitable and hostile space that Marc Augué called “non-places.”
Sancal turned to Note, a Swedish design studio, to provide relief to weary travelers. They came up with La Isla as a solution. Its seductive curves and soft upholstery beckon to all who move through the hall, desperate for shelter.
Once installed on Isla, they will not be disappointed. The upholstery is as comfortable as it looks, thanks to generous proportions and soft materials. A place where you can share with strangers while respecting their privacy; isolated but not excluded.
Isla is available in three different sizes and a selection of fabrics from the Sancal collection. The plinth can be painted in any color according to the table in the price list.
