Product description

functional sculpture, comfortable and pleasant seats that are both durable and lightweight, and seemingly defy gravity. Paper Planes is derived from a graph paper based fabric design: its shape comes from folding and modeling paper in an exploration of form and structure to create angles, lines and polygons. Its apparent simplicity requires masterful tailoring skills: the lines of the fabric must be perfectly matched to the geometry of the chair, which means there is no room for errors.
Injected flame-retardant polyurethane foam on an internal steel frame. The base is a square steel tube with a matte finish; glides are made of steel with a chrome finish or brass. The lists of paper surface covers shown on the following pages are recommended by designers. Cover versions include graphite jacquard with Swarovski crystals or solid Hallingdal colors with designers' signature embroidery. Hallingdal solid color versions can also be ordered without the distinctive embroidery for the same price; please do not specify any EMBROIDERY in your order. Paper airplane covers are not removable.
