The design of the DS-87 comes from the sketchbook of Antonella Scarpitta, who designed for de Sede the successful models DS-3 to DS-7 - with their exquisite elegance à la Italianità. The sofa model is a foldable upholstered piece of furniture that gives contemporary urban people a sense of style and comfort. Transparent forms combine with hidden functions. Adjustable backrests allow two sitting positions. The low backrest emphasizes the horizontal form and turns the sofa into a dynamic seating object; the raised backrest position encourages relaxation. With a slim and inviting design, the DS-87 appears to float in the air and blends seamlessly into any space. The modern seat depth and various conversion options make the DS-87 a relaxing seat.
