Product description
Diagonal movement. Intuition born from carpentry terminology becomes the distinguishing feature of a modular system, new in formal terms and innovative in terms of compositional flexibility. Although the literal interpretation of the term chamfer refers to a smooth angle created by cutting at a 45° angle at a right angle, in this sofa it expresses a double broadening of the aesthetic and functional perspective. On the outside, the chamfer softens the shape and acts as a guide, and its size gives both spatial and architectural value. On the inside, the angle frame wraps and supports, promoting a versatile seating style that adapts perfectly to residential environments as well as public spaces. With five modules varying in length and depth and a single connection, you can imagine a multitude of combinations, from simple mirror arrangements to well-structured geometric sequences. Its feature is strongly recognizable in relation to the deconstruction in Lowland (2000) and the refined design in Redondo and Masssas (2012). The term "chamfer" refers to an architectural detail with a sloping edge. This is where the shape of the sofa, which characterizes all the seating elements of the system, comes from. These versatile, flexible and refined sofas welcome us in a grand, elegant embrace.
Stress-resistant polyurethane foam and injected flame-retardant polyurethane foam in various densities and polyester fiber on a wooden frame. The feet are made of black polypropylene screwed to the structure. Optional cushions are polyurethane foam with polyester fiber and memory foam chips. All compositions contain connecting elements made of ABS steel. The covers of the Phase 1 collection are removable.
