Casiopea is a walnut mirror. Its rounded triangular shape has a particular tendency to take the shape of an ellipse. This concept is repeated concentrically, creating an elliptic-kinetic effect that represents (as an idealized caricature) the kinetics of stellar orbits. Despite the apparent two-dimensionality of the three rings, what is particularly interesting is how the different sections along its profiles vary three-dimensionally, which increases the dynamics of its curves.
