Product description

bench made of sheet metal with a curved back and legs made of lacquered steel bars. Also available in an external version. "Softer than steel" is a poetic and delicate collection consisting of three benches, a chair, a collection of small tables, a clothes hanger and a series of shelves, created by the Japanese designer Nendo for Desalto. “Part of the bench lifted and turned into a backrest. The poles wrap around each other to create a clothes rack. By adding inverted, bent and wrapped details to sheets and bars, the normally hard metal gains new functionality and a light, flexible feel, as if the metal had become paper or fabric” (Nendo).
