Product description
ROMEO AND JULIET
This wooden garden bench designed by Stijn Goethals, Koen Baeyens and Basile Graux has a definite advantage: it not only provides passersby with a comfortable place to sit and relax, but also adds a touch of green to an often colorless urban or industrial setting.
The outdoor bench is made of long, rectangular strips of wood. It has two round holes in the seat for large flower pots in which you can place your favorite small tree or plant. Like Romeo and Juliet, the trees are destined to be together, never able to touch each other. The bench seems to float between the trees. Of course, Romeo and Juliet is perfectly suited to the contract market. When several garden benches are placed in a line, the distance between the trees remains the same, creating architectural harmony. Naturally, this wooden garden bench is also perfect for private gardens or terraces.
An additional advantage is the 10-centimeter gap between the inner pot and the outer pot to which the bench is attached. It acts as a water reservoir, but also gives the tree roots plenty of "breathing space" to prevent rotting.
