Anche per esterni version available. The starting point of this project was a specific production method: cast iron. This is one of the oldest ways of using ferrous metals. There is a physicality and rawness to the production process that is almost archaic. Iron foundries are a heavy industry. Although cast iron is widely known for its ornamental and decorative uses, such as in Victorian-era garden furniture, the material has two distinctive characteristics: it is heavy and strong. Cast iron resists compression well, which is why it is used as a construction material for building bridges and, on a scale similar to furniture, as a base for heavy machines. It was the use of cast iron that inspired the BRUT company, a collection of tables and benches. The design refers to the typical industrial uses of cast iron and transfers its material grammar to the world of contemporary furniture. The name means raw and unprocessed. A solid piece of iron, heavy and uncompromising. But BRUT also brings to mind the sweetness of sparkling wine, which speaks of the sophistication and sophistication that is inherent in our design. The BRUT collection consists of a large rectangular table, a height-adjustable trestle table, two round tables, a small table bistro, as well as two types of benches.
