Product description
Shitake is a mushroom that grows on tree trunks, and its name in Dutch means "elves' bench". Marcel Wanders experimented with the possibilities of rotational molding to design a stool with an irregular, ironic mushroom-like shape. The result is playful, irreverent, and at the same time enriched by the careful treatment of the surface, which has been decorated to appear covered with raised embroidery. The stools are hollow so they can be filled with water, sand or other material and resealed with a removable cap.
Rotomolded recyclable polyethylene with integrated color. Shitake is fade-resistant and waterproof, and can also be filled with sand to provide additional stability for outdoor use.
