Kilt, the chair designed by Marcello Ziliani for Ethimo, was born from the desire to combine in one product the best features required in an outdoor design. “The kilt takes its inspiration from the image of the famous piece of cloth wrapped around the waists of the proud inhabitants of the Highlands,” explains designer Marcello Ziliani. - In the same way, the backrest is wrapped around the chair, remaining detached, like a skirt revealing the knees. Solidity, lightness and versatility are in fact the features that make this accessory ideal for beautifying outdoor spaces in various residential contexts and contemporary contracts. The kilt is stackable and meets all comfort requirements: the use of a tight weave of rope to form the backrest and chair ensures both optimal comfort and weather resistance. The collection is available with a teak or stainless steel frame, making the Kilt a versatile product, able to express different looks and interpret its frame in a unique way and without disturbing the balance of color and aesthetics. The Kilt is presented in two new versions that give outdoor spaces personality and create unique settings through the use of color. A combination of elegance and naturalness, the Kilt armchair in the Dining and Lounge versions combines a distinctive FSC-certified teak frame with new shades of natural rope, interpreted again in two vivid colors inspired by the warm shades of Mediterranean vegetation. The dense weave in Olive Green and Ruby Wine evokes positive moods and good vibrations, making the Kilt both unique and simply beautiful.
