When we founded Extremis 20 years ago, we called our first product Gargantua. It was based on the famous 16th-century series of novels by the French monk Rabelais, describing the lives of two giants: Gargantua - whose appetite was unstoppable - and his son Pantagruel. The large round Gargantua garden table has a huge top and can even be extended, placing the benches at the height of the top.
The second generation, Pantagruel, is not a better version of his father, he is just different. The Pantagruel Round Picnic Table frame has a powder coated OR galvanized finish. You can choose from a variety of materials for fixed benches and countertops. It also includes Lazy Susan, which makes it easier to view things.
Customers can now choose between the two, depending on their expected use and the flexibility they need. There is no perfect table for everyone. Over these 20 years, we have learned that each person focuses on something different.
The Pantagruel round picnic table goes perfectly with Inumbra or Inumbrina umbrellas.
