The iconic, innovative Lebeau table, which was French designer Patrick Jouin's first project for Cassina in 2003, was reinterpreted in 2017 in a tactile version with a solid ash base. Its fluid, organic shape, achieved through a long, meticulous process of bending and assembling the planks, was achieved thanks to Cassina's extraordinary carpentry skills and knowledge, who combined advanced technology and craftsmanship to create a light, sculptural architecture that blooms like a flower. Today, Lebeau Outdoor continues this evolving technical and aesthetic journey with a new version tailored to outdoor living. It retains the expressive originality of its archetype thanks to the use of a material chosen for its durability, lightness and long life: aluminum.
Based on painstaking structural research, the table retains its iconic silhouette but has an updated design in which the number of staves has been reduced from 22 to ten. Made of cast aluminum, their exquisite craftsmanship is particularly evident in the ten veins that the designer deliberately left exposed inside the planks. In a crescendo of proportions, this architectural structure branches from a central column, and the staves become thinner as they converge towards the center, creating an enchanting visual symphony as light passes through them.
A lively dialogue between the tangibility of materials and the juxtaposition of expressive colors.
