Product description

Ross Lovegrove pays homage to the concrete of brutalist architecture and transforms it into a soft and friendly material. Softcrete is a modular sofa composed of 3 different modules made of polyurethane foam and covered with Guflac, a special paint that makes the polyurethane foam resistant while maintaining its softness and also reproducing unique autistic concrete-like effects.

DID YOU KNOW
1. Even though it is perfectly similar to concrete, it is soft and comfortable.
2. Made of polyurethane, it replaces the typically cold effect of cement.
3. It is a tribute to brutalist architecture and the designs of Tadao Ando.
4. Its name is its essence: Soft means – well, soft – Crete is Concrete (cement).
5. Its modules are soft and can be easily connected to each other, so you can create various compositions.
6. The Guflac finish protects it against weather conditions, making it also perfect for outdoor use.
7. The design originated from a drawing by Ross Lovegrove for the Marimoto restaurant in New York. Functional Pop is a collection of products with the same ironic and irreverent spirit of Gufram, but with a stronger functional approach. Functional pop items can be customized as you wish or on request in more colors and finishes to suit your different style needs. Their versatility and lightness allow them to coexist in various locations with specific needs: from home interior decoration to hotel interiors to outdoor spaces, without sacrificing the original Gufram accent.
