FORESTA SYSTEM is an acoustic wall panel with mycelium.
The FORESTA Acoustic System was created out of the desire to restore Nature to the space of everyday life. Inspired by the unique feeling of walking in the forest, the system combines the materiality of nature (exemplified by wood) with radical innovation derived from mycelium-based technologies.
The wooden structure composed of rails and nodes supports and facilitates the installation of triangular sound-absorbing modules, as if each individual module represented multi-colored leaves growing from a tree branch. Thanks to its modular design, the system can be adapted to the needs of each specific project, while inspiring endless compositional possibilities.
The FORESTA system is based on a sophisticated combination of wood branches and nodes. The wooden branches are designed to be mechanically attached to the wall, requiring a minimum amount of perforation in the wall. The nodes simply stick to the branches and, thanks to the integrated magnets, allow for easy installation of the acoustic modules.
The magnetic system built into the nodes allows the user to easily reposition each module, providing maximum design flexibility and supporting potential needs for future replacements.
The entire system is 99% biologically derived and biodegradable. It can be completely dismantled at the end of the product's life cycle to support regenerative recycling.
