Product description

Varenne is a chair that represents a new interpretation of the typical shell chair, in which a curved plywood structure is placed on a tubular steel base. These two elements, which combine the durability of the chair and the comfort of the seat, are enriched with the personality of cowhide. This is intended not only to serve as a suitable material for finishing the wood, but also as a natural seat covering - adhering to every curve. This sartorial idea led to the design of folds, cuts and seams in cowhide, which is rolled down at the front edge of the seat to ease contact with the legs, and curves back at the upper edge of the backrest. In this case, the fold was left deliberately generous to create a handle that allows the chair to be easily lifted and moved. Varenne materials and colors can be customized.
