Product description
Materials: leather, chrome-plated or powder-coated steel. The Tongue chair is a classic of Danish design that has been lost. Designed in 1955 for the Munkegård School in Denmark, Tongue is Arne Jacobsen's second completed chair design - after the Ant chair. The Tongue was not available internationally until the 1980s and even then only for a short time. The language now returns to its rightful place in the Jacobsen legacy and has been restored thanks to HOWE's engineering expertise. The aesthetics of the chair are exactly as Jacobsen specified, with added durability provided by precision engineering and the use of high-quality materials – matching Arne Jacobsen's vision for Tongue. The Tongue is now available in a range of veneer, leather and fabric finishes, along with chrome or powder-coated steel legs.
