Known for objects designed from the mid-1960s to the present, Paolo Rizzatto draws on his experience with Alias and enriches the young collection developed according to the well-established three-legged configuration. Next to the young lady, characterized by a seat in Viennese straw, Rizzatto proposes a new enveloping shell, entirely covered with leather and equipped with comfortable cushions. The new lady has been designed with the utmost attention to detail: the seams that characterize the profile of the shell and the details of many basic variants bring to mind the world of industrial craftsmanship, where "handmade" joins forces with the most advanced technology. The seat uses a structure consisting of a swivel tripod in die-cast aluminum, equipped with a visible shock-absorbing mechanism, or a new variant with solid oak wood legs. The new lady is Alias' original interpretation of contemporary seats for home use; a small armchair where the shell and structure, seemingly separated from a formal point of view, blend into a design that is as simple as it is strong. Small armchair with a 4-spoke base in solid oak. Seat and backrest made of plastic covered with leather (the cover is not removable). The soft New Lady shoes are a testament to Paolo Rizzatto's ability to create timeless designs that evolve over time without losing any of their original charm. The past and the present are a perfect compromise between stylistic exploration and technological experiments.
