Product description

Chair with five-way swivel base in polished aluminum, swivel base, mounted on self-locking casters and equipped with a gas lift mechanism for height adjustment. The housing is available in a single-color and two-color version made of polypropylene (ColorBi®), standard or inverted; polypropylene with front upholstery in leather, artificial leather, fabric or customer fabric; upholstered with two types of hard leather; fully upholstered in leather, artificial leather, fabric or customer's fabric; wood, in three color finishes (natural oak, bleached oak, wengé) or double bent wood in three finishes with front upholstery in leather, artificial leather, fabric or customer fabric. The Catifa 53 is an original: an inspiration that extends to Arper himself. The graceful curved seat and elegant profile constitute the ultimate synthesis: conceptual purity is achieved by reducing the superfluous without losing sensuality. Using a wide range of finishes, bases and accessories, this almost universal form can be adapted to a variety of uses and contexts without changing its essential character.
Designed for both residential and contract use, indoors and outdoors, the Catifa 53 enclosure and base are made from a wide range of materials, colors and finishes. The shell is made of double-curved plywood, single-color or patented two-color polypropylene (an exclusive process pioneered by Arper, available in a wide range of colors on the Catif 53), covered with leather, artificial leather, fabric or finished with upholstered overlays. The base is made of chrome steel, satin-finished stainless steel, aluminum or powder-coated aluminum and is available in the following base configurations: sled, four-legged tubular or wood, cantilever, aluminum trestle and five-legged. The bases of the sled and four legs are stackable, allowing for large-scale use and storage. Catifa 53 is also available in a bench version.
